Chinese art received a peer review by Wikipedia editors, which is now archived. It may contain ideas you can use to improve this article.
In the last month, there have been several wholesale removal of all mentions of Taiwan in this article without discussion. This was regardless of whether they are passing mentions of Taiwan/Taipei, such as National Palace Museum (Taipei, Taiwan), or whether they specifically discuss people of Taiwan, such as "廖繼春, a Taiwanese native who received training abroad in Japan."
I am asking those involved to please stop the removals for now and discuss or provide the rationale here and gain consensus before doing more deletions. Thanks. Fuzheado | Talk15:51, 3 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed, the solution is more coverage of Chinese art outside of China not less of it. I get where the IP is coming from, but IMO they're going about it backwards... It is generally preferable to try to grow your way to NPOV rather than cut your way there. Horse Eye's Back (talk) 19:07, 3 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The person making all these edits is a racist, anti-Chinese troll obsessed with expunging all reference to Chinese culture from Taiwanese articles: the closest things they can be bothered to give as a rationale are Yellow Peril memes, and vilely racist nonsense. Revert all of their edits as per WP:DENY and report their IPs to an administrator.--Mr Fink (talk) 14:17, 4 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Who's making personal attacks? Look at the troll's edit histories. Pointing out that a troll likes to trot out the "eating dogs" blood libel or literally call for genocide against the Chinese in lieu of providing a rationale isn't a personal attack. Mr Fink (talk) 17:30, 4 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You can just say "anti-Chinese trolling" because we know the vile stuff that comes with it. Anytime you're writing "The person..." you should think about rephrasing it to a comment about their comments (about which factual statements such as the ones you want to make can readily be made) and not comments about them which fall under WP:NPA and WP:BLP.
